Job summary

WSP is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Consultant/Consultant to support a range of projects within our Air Quality Consultancy team. You will receive one-to-one mentoring, training, and development, working with colleagues across UK offices to deliver high-quality solutions on a variety of projects.

The role involves air quality modelling, compiling inventories, bids and tenders, project management, data analysis, and report writing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in science/maths/digital subject.
• Experience of data processing and statistical analysis using Python or R.
• High accuracy and attention to QA/QC processes.
• Strong quantitative skills including data analysis.
• IT skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
• Experience in a consultancy or customer-facing environment is advantageous.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral, and basic presentation skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Flexibility, resilience and enthusiasm.
• Strong team working skills.

Responsibilities

• Air quality modelling and data analysis tasks.
• Compilation of air quality and greenhouse gas inventories.
• Contributing to bid submissions, preparing quotes and tenders.
• Project management to budget, programme and scope.
• Liaising with internal and external clients and project teams.
• Collation and analysis of data for reports.
• Report writing and data interpretation.
