Job summary

Marlowe (a Part of Mitie) seeks an Air Hygiene Operative in Leeds to assist the Lead Engineer with ventilation, ductwork cleaning and related air hygiene services for customers.

Role involves TR19-based cleaning, door installations per standards, and maintenance of equipment and stock while adhering to safety policies. Full training and career progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hands-on, physical role (labourer or trades)
• Basic knowledge of air hygiene and ventilation systems (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence required
• Ability to work safely with health, safety and environmental policies

Responsibilities

• Carry out kitchen extract and ventilation system cleaning per TR19 standards
• Install access doors to ventilation systems per DW144 and inspect fire dampers per BS9999
• Complete inspections of plant equipment and maintain stock levels
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately (service sheets, risk assessments, RAMS)
• Work safely on client sites and keep areas clean and tidy

We're looking for an Air Hygiene Operative who will assist the Lead Engineer in delivering ventilation, ductwork cleaning and other air hygiene services to our customers.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out kitchen extract and ventilation system cleaning in line with TR19 Grease and TR19 standards
• Install access doors to ventilation systems in accordance with DW144 and inspect fire dampers in line with BS9999
• Complete inspections of plant equipment, follow preventative maintenance programmes and maintain equipment and chemical stock levels
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, including service sheets, risk assessments and RAMS compliance
• Work safely, professionally and in line with site rules, leaving all work areas clean and tidy

What Are We Looking For?

• Experience working within a hands-on, physical role (such as a labourer or trades role)
• Basic knowledge of air hygiene and ventilation systems (desired but not essential)
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work safely in line with health, safety and environmental policies
