Job summary

Polar Air Conditioning is looking for an Installation Assistant to join our team. You will work alongside experienced engineers on a range of air conditioning installation projects, helping to gather tools, prepare materials and keep the site clean and safe.

We value reliability and a willingness to learn. You’ll gain hands-on experience with on-site training and progress as you develop understanding of the installation process across different project sites in the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a trade, construction or engineering environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Reliable and hardworking.
• Keen to learn and develop new skills.
• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
• Punctual, with excellent timekeeping.
• Willing to work in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and preparing tools and materials required by engineers on site.
• Assisting engineers with the installation of air conditioning systems.
• Helping to maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Carrying out tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
• Learning and developing practical skills through hands‑on experience.
• As you gain experience, full on-site training and guidance will be provided, allowing you to develop an understanding of the different stages involved in installing air conditioning systems to a professional standard.
