Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical services.
  • Carry out routine inspections and testing of emergency lighting and switchgear.
  • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests.
  • Record all maintenance activities accurately within the CAFM system.
  • Maintain compliance documentation in line with company standards.

Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer – North East Region – FM Service Provider: HVAC Contractor

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client’s team based in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. You will work across a variety of client sites including universities, commercial offices, retail outlets and industrial facilities across the Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Teesside regions.

Package
  • Competitive salary between £42,000 - £44,000 per annum
  • Van & fuel card supplied - personal use permitted!
  • Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)

Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical services across a wide range of systems, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
  • Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and testing of emergency lighting, switchgear, and distribution boards to maintain system reliability and safety.
  • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime and disruption.
  • Record all maintenance activities, repairs, and compliance documentation accurately within the CAFM system, ensuring reports are updated and aligned with helpdesk requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date certificates, records, and compliance documentation in line with company and legislative standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
  • Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
