Air Conditioning Engineer - North & Highlands

Location: North of Scotland & Highlands (Field-Based)

Salary: Up to £55,000 + Benefits

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established installation, service, and maintenance business covering the North of Scotland and the Highlands. This role offers a great mix of planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and installation work across a diverse range of commercial, industrial and residential clients. You’ll be joining a supportive team that values technical excellence, quality workmanship, and a hands‑on, professional approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on a variety of air conditioning systems (VRV/VRF, split systems, AHUs, and chillers).
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and fault finding efficiently to ensure minimal downtime for clients.
• Undertake installation and upgrade projects as required across the region.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with F‑Gas regulations and company procedures.
• Build strong relationships with clients, representing the company professionally on site.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports.

About You

• Qualified Air Conditioning Engineer with relevant F‑Gas certification.
• Experience in service, maintenance, and installation across commercial or industrial environments.
• Experience of maintaining heat pumps would be an advantage.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently across a large geographical area.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence required.
