Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer for commercial sites in London and Home Counties. The role focuses on PPM and reactive maintenance across VRF/VRV and split systems, with installation and commissioning duties as required.

The ideal candidate will hold an F-Gas Category 1 certificate, a full UK driving licence, and be comfortable with on-call duties (1-in-7) and overtime paid at 1.5x. Salary range £46,000–£50,000 DOE plus travel.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: London & Home Counties

Pay Range/details: £46,000 to £50,000 DOE + Door to Door Travel + Overtime

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities - Air Conditioning Engineer

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of air conditioning and HVAC systems across commercial sites.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently on split systems, VRV/VRF units, multi-split systems, and associated ventilation equipment.
• Undertake installation, commissioning, and testing of air conditioning systems in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and compliantly, adhering to F-Gas regulations, health & safety policies, and company procedures.
• Complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation accurately, providing clear updates on works carried out and any remedial actions required.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and site teams, delivering a high standard of customer service while supporting the successful delivery of maintenance and project works.

Qualifications & Requirements - Air Conditioning Engineer

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer within commercial maintenance, service, and installation environments.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential.
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations, compliance standards, and safe systems of work within commercial environments.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
• On call rota is 1-in-7.
• Standard working day is 8 hours on site, with an 08.00 start time.
• Any time worked on site beyond 8 hours is paid at 1.5x overtime.
• Travel time is paid separately and on top of on?site hours.
