Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: Central Belt, Scotland

Salary: £45,000 – £47,000 (depending on experience)

Benefits: Door-to-door pay, company van and fuel card, overtime

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Role

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading HVAC company, covering commercial contracts across the Central Belt.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, fault-finding, and small works on a range of air conditioning and HVAC systems. You’ll work across a variety of commercial sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of all works while maintaining the company’s high standards of customer service.

This is a mobile role, paid door-to-door, and includes participation in a 1-in-4 call-out rota (with additional standby and call-out payments).

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on air conditioning systems, including VRV / VRF, split systems, and AHUs.
  • Diagnose and repair system faults, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
  • Complete small installation and remedial works when required.
  • Work on a variety of commercial properties such as offices, retail, education, and healthcare sites.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with F‑Gas and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records using company systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on-site.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent qualification).
  • F‑Gas Category 1 certification (essential).
  • Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems within commercial environments.
  • Good knowledge of VRV / VRF and split systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, etc.).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
