Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking experienced bench scientists to help train AI models by designing realistic experimental-biology tasks from your own practice and grading outputs against a professional standard. You’ll generate tasks, run them through frontier AI systems, and craft clear rubrics describing what a correct deliverable must contain.

The role favors hands-on biology expertise (molecular biology, cell culture, imaging, etc.) and comfort with AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and running experiments in pharma, biotech, or academic labs.
• Depth in at least one listed science area and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Able to explain controls and diagnose why a run failed.
• Master’s or PhD in biology or related field, completed in US/Canada/Europe/UK.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic experimental tasks with prompts and supporting files.
• Run tasks through frontier AI agents and grade outputs against professional standards.
• Write clear grading rubrics and explain pass/fail criteria.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence from controls, edge effects, or data.
