A consulting firm specializing in AI is hiring an AI Solutions Consultant to help organizations use AI responsibly and creatively. The ideal candidate has over 3 years' experience in consulting or technology, a strong understanding of AI concepts, and proven ability to translate complex ideas into solutions. Responsibilities include client engagement, prototyping AI solutions, and championing responsible AI practices. This role is based in Exeter, United Kingdom.

We're hiring an AI Solutions Consultant to sit at the intersection of strategy, technology and people. If you live and breathe applied AI and love turning ideas into usable solutions this could be for you.
Turn messy problems into clear AI opportunities. Spend time with clients to deeply understand their day-to-day challenges and shape where AI can genuinely help.
Engage with stakeholders across the business. Run interviews and fact‑finding sessions with leaders, SMEs and end users to draw out needs, constraints and opportunities.
Design practical AI solutions using today's tools. Use platforms like Microsoft Copilot (M365, GitHub, Windows), Google Gemini, Power Automate, Power Platform, Google AI Studio, Palantir Foundry, Gotham with the freedom to recommend new tools where they add value.
Build and prototype with leading LLM platforms. Work with OpenAI / Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and other cloud AI services to prototype and deliver solutions that actually ship.
Create intelligent agents and automations. Develop advanced prompts, custom & MCP‑enabled GPTs, Gems, Copilot agents and lightweight agentic workflows, co‑creating with senior leaders and domain experts.
Integrate AI into existing ecosystems. Plug AI into tools clients already use (e.g. Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Adobe, Teams, Dynamics, Salesforce, Google Workspace, internal knowledge bases) to boost productivity and decision‑making.
Design for trust, quality and safety. Put robust guardrails, evaluations and quality checks in place. QA your own work and others to maintain confidence in the solutions we deliver.
Cover the full customer lifecycle. Help design and deliver AI solutions from acquisition through to retention and advocacy.
Make AI understandable. Translate complex concepts into clear explanations, metaphors and mental models non‑technical stakeholders can act on.
Produce client‑ready artefacts. Create polished presentations, reports and playbooks (with support from our design team).
Measure value and embed change. Help clients define success metrics, track impact and put in place engagement frameworks that stick.
Champion responsible AI. Advise on safe, ethical AI usage, highlight risks and guide clients on how to mitigate them.
Experience - 3+ years in consulting or technology environments.
Deep AI expertise - Strong understanding of AI concepts, current tooling and developments, plus solid technical foundations and context.
Applied AI credibility - You're already recognised for building real‑world AI solutions and are certified (or actively working towards) credentials such as Azure AI Engineer Associate, Google Cloud ML / AI, or Microsoft 365 / Copilot certifications.

Strong communication skills - You can turn complex ideas into simple, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders.
Customer mindset - Understanding of customer lifecycle design, engagement frameworks and value measurement.
Documentation & delivery - Comfortable producing structured, clear and polished client deliverables.
AI Native - You've immersed yourself in AI, experimented widely and built real capability. You understand the stack and its limits, are alert to risks, and know how to help others use AI safely and responsibly.
Self‑managing & detail‑focused - You thrive in a small, high‑performing team, use modern productivity tools, take ownership of your time and care deeply about quality.
Empathic & disciplined - You listen well, challenge thoughtfully, balance care for the client with rigour, process and measurement and you follow through.
