Isio seeks an AI Solution Architect to design and oversee AI solutions across client products and internal tools. The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on delivery of proofs of concept, ensuring consistent patterns and controls in Isio’s AI estate.

You will lead technical design, collaborate with product, development, and operations teams across the UK and Europe, and mentor the Development team while advancing DevOps and modular design practices.

Qualificações

• 10+ years development experience, Microsoft ecosystem preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on with Azure, breadth of Azure resources including AI Foundry.
• 3+ years with frontier AI tools and models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini).
• CI/CD and MLOps via GitHub Actions or similar tooling.
• Experience with multi-architecture patterns, orchestration, RAG, monitoring.

An AI Solution Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of technical solutions, specifically those involving how we build and operate with AI. The role exists within our Corporate function to enforce keeping our AI estate consistent, so that the same patterns, components and controls are used across business units.

Working primarily within the Microsoft ecosystem, this role involves collaborating with stakeholders, developers, and business change to ensure:

1. AI solutions within Isio’s digital products are fit for commercial purpose
2. AI is being adopted with best practices across Isio’s internal business operations
3. AI development tooling is being adopted with best practices within Isio’s SDLC

Although this role involves strategic oversight, it also requires being hands-on day to day to deliver proof of concepts and reinforce technical excellence. What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead the technical design of AI at Isio, from the products we build for clients, to the tools our people use every day. You’ll primarily work with our Digital and Product Management team, our Head of Development, our existing Solution Architects and Principal Developers, alongside operations leaders across our core business units, composing of internal and external teams based across the UK and Europe.

Designing and building products

• Turning product ideas into architecture. Assessing what we build, buy or reuse, incorporating commercial considerations
• Producing low level technical designs covering data, model choice, integration, security and scale
• Presenting product managers clear options with effort, risk and cost, such that decisions are based on evidence
• Staying hands-on throughout the product SDLC and pairing with engineers.
• Oversee products from proof of concept through to production and ongoing support

Shaping how we build agentic workflows

• Set the standard for how agents are commissioned at Isio, including how they connect to tools and data, with where (and where not!) a person stays in the loop
• Implement relevant controls to ensure agents are safe to use with client data
• Work with business units to discover where AI can genuinely benefit how work gets done, considering existing operational processes.
• Keep our everyday AI tools under continuous review, recommending what to adopt, consolidate or drop, while tracking usage against cost.

Improving how we develop

• Agree and embed ways of working with AI tools, working with the Head of Development and Principal Developers.
• Helping strengthen our DevOps, continuous deployment and automated testing, ensuring a consistent approach across projects.
• Supporting modular design and component reuse.
• Supporting data architecture and lineage for structured and unstructured data, in line with group governance.
• Take part in our Change Advisory Board (CAB) to govern changes to production systems.
• Mentor and upskill others in the Development team.

Key Role Requirements

• 10+ years development experience. Microsoft Ecosystem strongly preferred (C#, dotnet, Entra, Copilot)
• 5+ years hands on experience with the Azure Cloud Platform, covering a broad range of Azure resource types including AI Foundry
• 3+ years experience working with frontier AI tools and models, including OpenAI, Claude and Gemini families
• Hands on experience with DevOps implementing CI/CD pipelines, incorporating LLMOps/MLOps. Knowledge of Github Actions strongly preferred
• Hands on experience of multiple high level architecture patterns, incorporating multiple orchestration frameworks, RAG techniques, and monitoring solutions such as Langfuse
• Hands on experience with designing and building platform integrations to a mature standard, comprising of APIs and MCPs
• Hands on experience with messaging queues (Azure Service Bus preferred) and asynchronous architectures
• Development experience with Python
• Knowledge of serverless technologies. Azure Functions preferred.
• Hands on experience working with both structured and unstructured data. MSSQL Server, PostgresSQL and Azure Cosmos preferred.
• Demonstratable experience with handling multiple internal and external stakeholders, including engaging with third party suppliers
• Demonstratable experience of priority and time management, including delivering viable solutions on time sensitive projects
• Demonstratable experience working on multi-year, multi-phase development projects involving multiple different technologies
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Advantageous Requirements

• Experience with AWS and GCP platforms
• Holding professional skills certifications (Azure or similar related)
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
• Experience with building integrations to market leading third party software (SaaS) products
• Exposure to building and testing quantitative development models
• Understanding of private equity business models
