Version 1 is seeking a Senior Leader to shape and drive AI strategy across offerings and partnerships. You will lead market analysis, define strategic differentiators, and collaborate with sales and delivery teams to position Version 1 as a market-leading AI services provider.

The role requires deep expertise in AI architectures, platform ecosystems, and a track record of mentoring cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact AI solutions in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

Proven track record defining AI strategies or transformation programs.
Experience with AI architecture, ML, generative AI and data platforms.
Ability to synthesize market trends into strategic insights.
Strong collaboration with sales and marketing to develop compelling value narratives.

Responsibilities

Identify gaps and opportunities; decide retire/refresh/create.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Assess Current AI Landscape
Map and evaluate existing offerings, accelerators, skills, references, and partnerships to understand Version 1's AI capabilities.
Identify gaps and opportunities within the existing portfolio, including where offerings should be retired, refreshed, or newly created.
Conduct Market Research
Stay informed on AI trends, emerging technologies, and niche market opportunities relevant to Version 1's target industries and customers.
Analyse competitor positioning and recommend strategic differentiators that align with the company's vision.
Develop AI GTM Vision & Strategy
Formulate a compelling, forward-looking AI strategy that integrates partnerships, accelerators, methodologies, and a reference architecture.
Articulate clear "why" and "how" behind the strategy, highlighting its alignment with overall company goals and customer needs.
Support Pre-Sales Engagements
Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert (SME), supporting early-stage pre-sales conversations and shaping senior client engagements.
Participate in pre-sales discussions, solution scoping, and proposal development to showcase Version 1's AI capabilities.

Qualifications

Expected Experience & Skills

Strategic AI Leadership
Proven track record in defining and implementing AI strategies or AI transformation programs in a leadership or advisory capacity.
Strong familiarity with AI architecture, machine learning, generative AI, data platforms, and related emerging technologies.
Market Insight & Research
Experience conducting market analysis and identifying opportunities for growth within the AI services domain.
Ability to synthesize industry trends into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Go-to-Market & Sales Collaboration
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop compelling narratives and collateral.
Proficiency in creating and communicating value propositions, solution messaging, and positioning statements.
Partnership & Ecosystem Management
Strong history of building and managing relationships with technology partners (e.g., cloud providers, AI platform and model vendors).
Capable of integrating third-party offerings into overarching strategies to add value and enhance customer outcomes.
Delivery Enablement & Team Leadership
Experience working with delivery teams to prepare for new offerings, including resource planning, training, and methodology development.
Proven track record of mentoring and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact AI solutions.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Excellent communicator with the ability to influence senior executives and build consensus around strategic directions.
Skilled at conveying complex ideas simply and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Results-Driven & Adaptable
A performance mindset with an ability to set clear goals, measure outcomes, and pivot strategies as needed.
Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at navigating and driving change in evolving market conditions.
