Job summary

PA Consulting is seeking an AI Security Consultant to help organisations secure AI-enabled environments, including agents, LLM integrations and governance across the lifecycle. You will advise on cloud, identity, applications, data and governance risks while addressing AI-specific concerns.

You will translate complex risks for both technical teams and senior stakeholders and support secure AI adoption, SOC automation and risk management initiatives within client engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong background in cyber security consulting, security architecture, risk management or security operations.
• Good understanding of identity and access management, cloud security, application security, data protection, vulnerability management, incident response and monitoring.
• Ability to assess environments and provide clear, prioritized recommendations.
• Experience engaging with technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
• Understanding of AI, generative AI or LLM-enabled systems and how they interact with data, prompts, APIs and users.
• Awareness of AI security risks such as prompt injection, data leakage and model risk.
• Ability to perform threat modelling for complex systems, including agentic workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain risks practically.
• Experience with AI governance and model risk management.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and SOC/IRM concepts.
• Experience with SOC operations, SIEM/SOAR, detection engineering and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cyber security assessments across technology estates, cloud environments, applications and networks.
• Review security architectures and provide pragmatic recommendations aligned to business risk.
• Support design and implementation of security controls across access management, data protection, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response and third-party risk.
• Help clients interpret security requirements, assess control maturity and develop actionable roadmaps.
• Translate technical findings into clear, business-relevant advice for senior stakeholders.
• Assess AI-enabled applications, LLM integrations and agentic systems for security risks.
• Review AI system designs for prompt injection, excessive agency and data leakage.
• Support threat modelling for agentic systems, including tool access, API calls and data retrieval.
• Advise on secure patterns for AI development, including identity controls and sandboxing.
• Establish governance and assurance processes for AI systems across their lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to use AI to improve SOC functions with safeguards.
