Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff Detection and Response Engineer to defend our AI infrastructure and training data at scale. You’ll build advanced detection systems and automated responses to protect our enterprise-grade AI platform from evolving adversaries.

You will translate threat intelligence into real-time detections, coordinate cross-team incident response, and hunt for AI-specific threats across GPU clusters and distributed training environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response with a proven track record of identifying sophisticated attacks in production environments.
• 3+ years securing AI/ML infrastructure, high-performance computing or distributed systems at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Python, and experience with detection logic and automation.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, detection technologies, and forensic investigation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement detection strategies for AI-specific threats (prompt injection, data poisoning, model extraction, adversarial examples).
• Build automated response playbooks and orchestration workflows to contain threats with minimal human intervention.
• Lead security incident response coordination across Cloud, AppSec, Enterprise, and AI Security teams.
• Hunt for sophisticated threats across GPU clusters and distributed training environments.
• Develop detection-as-code frameworks with version control and automated deployment.
