Job summary

The role supports product development teams by specifying, reviewing, and implementing robust system security architectures across lifecycle stages. As a Software Security Architect, you will collaborate with product teams, security experts, and stakeholders to assess risks, ensure regulatory compliance (CRA), and advance security methodologies across NXP's products and platforms.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in CS, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Strong background in cybersecurity and software security architecture.
• Experience with embedded software development (C, Rust, or assembly).
• Experience in threat modelling, risk assessment and SDL practices.
• Familiarity with CRA and other regulatory/security standards.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, review, and evolve system software security architectures.
• Conduct threat analysis, attack surface analysis, and risk assessments for embedded systems.
• Define security requirements and establish traceability from objectives to implementation.
• Integrate security-by-design throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support SDL activities, architecture reviews, and security verification.
• Analyze vulnerabilities, perform root cause analysis, and define mitigations.
• Define and review security mechanisms: secure boot, cryptographic services, firmware protection, and key management.
• Translate standards and regulations (CRA) into practical engineering requirements.
• Drive adoption of security best practices across projects and products.
• Serve as technical interface to customers, labs, and developers.
