Job summary

IC Resources is partnering with a world-class AI research lab to hire Research Scientists who will work on foundation models, native multimodal intelligence, and agentic systems, with direct impact on frontier model development.

You will contribute to native multimodal modelling, large-scale pre-training, data pipelines, and evaluation benchmarks, requiring strong Python and PyTorch expertise and a track record of top-tier publications.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in CS/AI/ML/Physics/Maths or equivalent research experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in at least one core area listed.
• Strong Python and PyTorch/distributed training experience.
• Track record of top-tier publications or major open-source contributions.

Responsibilities

• Work on foundation models and agentic systems with direct impact on frontier model development.
• Advance native multimodal modelling (vision-language, audio-vision, cross-modal).
• Lead large-scale pre-training/post-training (SFT, DPO, RLHF/RLAIF).
• Develop data pipelines and synthetic data strategies.
• Contribute to evaluation & benchmarking (LLM-as-judge, safety metrics).
• Improve inference efficiency (quantization, distillation, vLLM/TensorRT-LLM).

• Pre-training/post-training (SFT, DPO, RLHF/RLAIF) at scale
• Data engineering & synthetic data pipelines
• Agentic frameworks, reasoning, tool use, memory systems
• Evaluation & benchmarking (LLM-as-judge, safety/alignment metrics)
• Inference optimisation (quantization, distillation, vLLM/TensorRT-LLM)

Requirements:

• - PhD or Master's in CS/AI/ML/Physics/Maths or equivalent research experience
• - Strong hands-on expertise in at least one core area above
