Qualifications

• PhD candidate in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with AI/ML research experience.
• Publications in top AI/ML venues (NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR) or related conferences.
• Ability to deliver modular, optimized Python code with tests.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and current state of the art.
• Experience with statistical data analysis, experimental design, and meaningful benchmarks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and business audiences.
• Motivated to apply AI to financial services problems.
• Curiosity, creativity, resourcefulness, and collaboration.
• Research history in areas like synthetic data, hybrid agents, multimodal discovery, foundation models, RL.

Responsibilities

• Work on commercially oriented research projects with internal data scientists, engineering teams and stakeholders across businesses.
• Formulate problems, generate hypotheses, develop new algorithms and models, conduct experiments and evaluations, and deliver well-tested code.
• Contribute to high-impact assets and research initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership via white papers, publications and presentations.
