Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in AI Research, Machine Learning or AI Engineering.

AI Research Engineer

Central London (Office-Based 4-5 Days per Week)

£80,000 - £120,000 + Equity Package + Bi-Annual Salary Reviews + Annual Equity Refresh + 4 Weeks Remote Working Abroad

Are you an AI Research Engineer looking to work at the forefront of large language models, agentic AI systems and computer vision, where you'll have the opportunity to build and fine-tune cutting-edge models that are transforming financial crime compliance while playing a key role in shaping the AI strategy of a rapidly growing technology business?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious AI-driven company developing innovative solutions that help financial institutions automate complex compliance and anti-money laundering processes. Working within a highly talented team, you'll have significant ownership over AI development and the chance to directly influence product direction.

In this role, you'll be responsible for building, evaluating and improving AI systems across LLMs, agentic workflows and vision models. You'll develop benchmarks and evaluation frameworks, fine-tune foundation models, build custom AI models and create automated feedback loops to continuously improve performance. You'll work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver robust AI solutions that solve real-world compliance challenges.

The ideal candidate will have experience within AI research or AI engineering, including hands-on work with LLMs, model fine-tuning and agentic systems. Experience with computer vision, model evaluation frameworks and MLOps practices would be highly beneficial.
