Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland seeks a Cloud Platform Engineering Specialist to lead enterprise-scale cloud initiatives across Azure, AWS and other providers. The role emphasizes AI-native infrastructure, automation, and secure, observable platforms that scale for GenAI workloads.

You will mentor teams, drive AI-assisted engineering practices, and contribute to scalable platform assets while working on high-impact data and AI programs with client partners.

Qualifications

• Design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud platforms across Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or Snowflake.
• Advanced IaC capabilities including AI-assisted generation and governance.
• CI/CD design with AI-assisted deployment and test automation.
• Experience with AIOps, observability and self-healing platform capabilities.
• Cloud security, networking, IAM and policy-as-code engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of enterprise-scale cloud platform programmes across multiple cloud providers.
• Architect AI-ready platform environments for GenAI, ML and agentic workloads.
• Drive AIOps adoption and automated incident detection/response.
• Design and deliver CI/CD platforms with AI-assisted deployment pipelines.
• Establish and govern IaC practices at scale with AI-assisted code generation.
• Lead security, networking and governance engineering within platform delivery.
• Design for platform resilience, FinOps and performance optimisation.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive engineering excellence.
• Contribute to propositions, accelerators and reusable platform assets.
