Job summary

Vallum Associates in Windsor is seeking an AI Prompt Engineer for a hybrid contract role. The engineer will design and test prompting strategies for production LLM-powered customer support across voice and chat channels.

Ideal candidates have hands-on prompt engineering experience, knowledge of RAG, grounding techniques, and responsible AI practices, with familiarity in Git/CI/CD and release governance. On-site once per week in Windsor.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in LLM prompt engineering for production systems.
• Experience with conversational AI for customer service (voice & chat).
• Knowledge of agentic AI design patterns and orchestration.
• Experience with RAG, grounding techniques, and prompt evaluation.
• Understanding of Responsible AI, security, and compliance controls.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD concepts, and release governance.
• Voice AI / IVA / IVR modernization experience.
• Experience in regulated industries (utilities, BFSI, public sector).
• Exposure to contact-centre metrics such as containment, deflection, CSAT.
