As part of a major strategic investment in Artificial Intelligence, we are delighted to invite applications to four senior AI+ professorial appointments, with the opportunity to join any one of our nine academic faculties.

AI+ at King’s reflects our ambition to harness the full potential of artificial intelligence across the full breadth of our disciplines, accelerating its application in areas that address society’s most pressing challenges, and advances core AI research. Our newly created professorial roles will expand and amplify our growing AI+ community, building on the recently launched AI+ Academic Fellowship scheme, which will see an outstanding cohort of researchers join King’s in the coming months.

Whilst having a home Faculty, the appointed professors will work closely through the King’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence, providing connectivity across our nine faculties, play an active role in mentoring and building the AI+ community, and leading innovation at the interface of AI and disciplines such as Health, Technology, Security, Creative Industries, Business, Law and Education. The professors will serve as matter‑expert champions, working closely with the Vice Chancellor & President, the Vice President (Research & Innovation) and other senior leaders at King’s to accelerate the deployment of AI research and education across King’s nine faculties.

This initiative, led by our Vice President (Research & Innovation) Professor Sir Bashir M. Al‑Hashimi FRS reflects our commitment to shaping the next generation of AI leaders and ensuring King’s remains at the forefront of groundbreaking AI research and innovation. We welcome applications to join any of our nine academic faculties.
