Job summary

Duffel is looking for a Travel Support Engineer (Backend) in London with hybrid work flexibility (2 days onsite). This mid–senior role focuses on building the first LLM-powered assistant in our support product, automating repetitive tasks, and integrating internal and external systems to create a seamless traveler experience.

You’ll work on AI-driven tools, collaborate with design and product teams, and shape how support tech helps millions of travelers daily.

Qualifications

• Experience at mid–senior level in travel support or similar roles.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals with focus on frontend frameworks.
• Ability to work with AI/automation features in real products.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features with React, TypeScript, Next.js and Elixir that users rely on daily.
• Partner with designers to create self-service tools travelers will love.
• Connect internal and external systems to make support feel seamless.
• Automate repetitive tasks to free up the Travel Ops team for complex problems.
• Experiment with AI and automation to improve real-world experiences.
