Job summary

Barclay Simpson is seeking an AI/ML Security Architect to lead the secure adoption of Generative and Agentic AI across a large enterprise. You will drive security architecture, enforce secure-by-design patterns and collaborate with engineering, cloud and security teams on LLMs, RAG, AI agents and data flows.

The role is hybrid with bases in London or Reading. Visa sponsorship is available for candidates currently living in the UK and you will bring strong experience in AI security architecture.

Qualifications

• Strong security architecture background with AI/LLM security experience.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, AI agents and data leakage risk.
• Exposure to major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure) and AI tooling.

Job description

This major international organisation is seeking an AI/ML Security Architect to support the secure adoption of Generative and Agentic AI across their complex enterprise environment.

As AI/ML Security Architect, you’ll provide security architecture and design authority across AI/ML initiatives, working closely with engineering, cloud and security teams to define practical controls and secure-by-design patterns. This will include areas such as LLMs, RAG, AI agents, vector databases, prompt injection, data leakage, identity, tool/API integration and AI threat modelling, alongside broader cloud and enterprise security architecture.

The successful candidate will have a strong security architecture background combined with genuine AI/LLM security experience. Exposure to technologies such as GCP/Vertex AI/Gemini, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude or LangChain/LangGraph would be particularly relevant.

Hybrid working in either London or Reading.
