Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design and deliver production-ready Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions on Azure, covering LLMs, RAG, and AI lifecycle governance.

Responsibilities include building end-to-end AI systems with Azure OpenAI, implementing RAG pipelines, and operationalizing MLOps best practices to ensure quality, reliability, and scalable deployment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry for LLM-based solutions.
• Experience building RAG pipelines with Azure AI Search and embeddings.
• Strong knowledge of prompt and context engineering and AI workflow orchestration.
• Experience with Document Intelligence, OCR and knowledge graphs for data extraction.
• Experience defining AI evaluation frameworks including bias testing and explainability.
• Understanding of LLMOps/MLOps, production deployment and AI lifecycle governance.

Essential skills

• Experience defining and executing AI evaluation frameworks, including golden datasets, bias testing, explainability, and response-quality validation.
• Good understanding of LLMOps/MLOps, production deployment, monitoring, governance, and AI lifecycle management.
• Experience with enterprise-grade AI security, governance, observability, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration and reusable AI engineering patterns.
• Relevant Azure AI or Machine Learning certifications.
