Job summary

LA International is partnering with a government client to deliver a robust data platform and AI/ML capabilities. The BI/Tech engineer will design scalable ETL pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform, and productionize AI models.

The role requires strong Python/SQL skills, 5+ years of experience, and familiarity with AWS data services. Initial six-month engagements with potential extensions and mostly remote work with some travel to Swindon.

Qualifications

• At least five years of overall experience in data/BI engineering.
• Experience implementing production AI/ML solutions with AWS data services.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data/ML apps.
• Ability to design scalable data pipelines and data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and design data platform, ETL, integration, and analytics solutions.
• Build and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines using AWS services and Terraform.
• Develop and productionize AI/ML models and APIs; implement MLOps for versioning and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to meet data needs.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient storage/cost optimization.
