Foxelli Group is building an AI-powered entertainment studio delivering addictive vertical micro-drama for US audiences, mostly women aged 35–55. We seek a Creative Director with strong storytelling instincts and cinematic taste to guide scripts to emotionally powerful episodes.

You’ll collaborate with screenwriters, AI video creators, and editors, owning the creative process from script review to final cut while maintaining high production standards and efficiency.

THE ROLE

We're building an AI-powered entertainment studio producing addictive vertical micro-drama series for US audiences, primarily women aged 35–55.

We're looking for a creative director with exceptional storytelling instincts, strong cinematic taste, and a deep understanding of human emotions.

Your mission is simple: turn good scripts into emotionally powerful episodes that people can't stop watching.

You’ll work with screenwriters, AI video creators, and editors, taking creative ownership from script review to the final finished episode.

You won't need to write the scripts or generate every video yourself. Your role is to guide the creative execution, identify what needs improvement, and ensure every episode meets our standards.

What You’ll Do

• Script Review & Creative Direction
• Review season storylines and individual episode screenplays.
• Evaluate storytelling, emotional impact, character motivations, hooks, and cliffhangers.
• Approve scripts or provide specific, actionable feedback to screenwriters.
• Add directing instructions only when necessary. If the script is already strong and production-ready, approve it without unnecessary changes.
• Direct AI Video Production
• Establish the visual style and creative standards for each series.
• Guide AI video creators on cinematography, framing, character performance, lighting, and emotional delivery.
• Review generated footage and identify scenes or shots that need improvement.
• Maintain visual consistency and quality across episodes.
• Editing & Final Approval
• Review episode edits for pacing, tension, emotional impact, music, sound design, and visual storytelling.
• Give clear, prioritized feedback to editors.
• Approve final episodes before release.
• Ensure the finished video delivers the intended emotional experience.
• Production Quality & Efficiency
• Work with multiple AI video creators and editors.
• Help the team increase production speed without sacrificing creative quality.
• Identify recurring production problems and improve workflows.
• Use audience feedback and retention data to improve future episodes.

Who You Are

• Exceptional storytelling instincts – you understand why audiences feel anger, excitement, suspense, satisfaction, and anticipation.
• Strong cinematic judgment – you know how camera angles, acting, editing, lighting, and sound influence emotions.
• Experience in directing or filmmaking – ideally film, television, serialized drama, or narrative short-form video.
• Understanding of AI filmmaking – you know the capabilities and limitations of AI video generation and how they affect production decisions.
• Strong attention to detail – you easily spot continuity errors, weak performances, awkward cuts, or emotional moments that don't work.
• Clear communicator – you can explain exactly what's wrong, why it matters, and how to fix it.
• Pragmatic – you don't make changes just to make changes. You know when something is good enough to approve.
• Comfortable with fast-paced production – you can make strong creative decisions quickly.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience directing drama, romance, thrillers, soap operas, or telenovelas.
• Familiarity with ReelShort, DramaBox, or other vertical drama platforms.
• Experience with AI filmmaking tools such as Kling, Runway, Seedance, or similar.
• Experience leading creative production teams.
• Understanding of audience retention and performance-driven storytelling.
• Episodes consistently deliver strong emotional impact, hooks, and cliffhangers.
• Screenwriters and AI creators receive clear, useful feedback without unnecessary revisions.
• The team produces more high-quality episodes while keeping production costs under control.
• Finished episodes maintain consistent cinematic quality and improve based on audience feedback.

Fixed Service Fee

€2,000–5,000 monthly service fee, depending on experience.

Location

Remote, hiring across selected European countries and South Africa.

Eligibility & Location Requirements

• This role is 100% remote.
• Our tribe works primarily in the Eastern European Time Zone (EET — UTC+2/UTC+3). We also use Revolut for payments, so we are open to hiring candidates in countries where Revolut payments are supported.
• For full-time roles, we ask that you’re available for at least 5 hours during typical EET working hours — it keeps collaboration smooth and communication easy. (This doesn’t apply to part-time roles).
