Job summary

McGregor Boyall supports a leading financial services organisation in the City in finding a Software Engineer to help design and build scalable digital platforms across Europe. You will contribute to onboarding and engagement journeys with a cloud-native stack.

In a collaborative, product-led environment, you will work with Product, Design and Engineering teams, leverage AI-assisted tooling, and shape the next generation of customer experiences on AWS and modern frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience building Angular-based customer-facing apps.
• Backend services in Java Spring Boot.
• Strong AWS cloud experience.
• CI/CD and automated testing familiarity.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude.
• Ownership of features from design to production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance Angular-based customer-facing applications.
• Build and maintain cloud-native services within AWS environments.
• Develop backend services using Java Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Integrate third-party APIs and internal platforms to create seamless digital experiences.
• Deliver well-tested, maintainable and scalable code.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and engineering best practice initiatives.
• Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Utilise AI-driven development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Champion modern software engineering standards and continuous improvement.
