Job summary

Capgemini Invent in Glasgow is seeking an AI Engineering Consultant or Senior Consultant to design, build, and operationalize advanced AI systems at enterprise scale. You will bridge AI prototypes with data and AI solutions in business operations.

You will lead the design of scalable MLOps, CI/CD, and governance, while collaborating with Product Managers and Data Scientists to deliver measurable business value and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a major consulting firm or industry with a consulting mindset and matrixed organization experience.
• Experience working with client sponsors to collaboratively design requirements and build solutions.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing MLOps strategies and delivering AI/ML solutions at scale.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI and Agentic AI, including RAG pipelines and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience designing cloud-native data and AI architectures across Azure, GCP, AWS, and/or Databricks.

Responsibilities

This role focuses on designing, building, and operationalizing advanced AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI systems at an enterprise scale. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between AI prototypes and the integration of data and AI solutions into business operations.

Your Role

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Assessing and implementing a robust MLOps framework, governance, and best practices in accordance with industry standards.
• Designing and delivering end-to-end AI/ML systems, from data preparation and model development to deployment and monitoring.
• Utilizing the latest Generative AI and Agentic Frameworks, such as ADK, Langgraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Llamaindex.
• Translating AI use case requirements into data and AI architectures using the most suitable cloud services.
• Architecting and implementing Generative AI solutions, including RAG pipelines and workflows across Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Embedding safety and assurance mechanisms throughout the AI lifecycle to ensure ethical, explainable, and responsible solutions.
• Translating business and functional requirements into technical blueprints and guiding multidisciplinary teams in their execution.
• Collaborating with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Business stakeholders to ensure AI solutions drive business value.

Your Profile

We are looking for candidates with:

• Experience in a major consulting firm or industry, with a consulting mindset and a proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organization.
• Experience working with client sponsors to collaboratively design requirements and build solutions.
• A proven track record in designing and implementing MLOps strategies and delivering AI/ML solutions at scale.
• A deep understanding of Generative AI and Agentic AI, including RAG pipelines and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience designing cloud-native data and AI architectures across Azure, GCP, AWS, and/or Databricks.
• The ability to demonstrate how scaling AI can unlock business value.

Technical Expertise

We value a strong foundation in the following technologies, though not all are required:

• Experience with major cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Experience building and automating AI/ML pipelines using tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or Azure ML.
• Hands-on experience with Generative and Agentic AI frameworks.
• Proficiency in CI/CD and containerization technologies.
