Job summary

Diver5ify is seeking an AI Engineer to shape the intelligence layer behind its stealth-mode hardware/AI devices for security and public safety. You will join a senior team to design, build, and deploy LLM-powered features directly on connected hardware, from data pipelines to real-world deployment.

You’ll collaborate with hardware/firmware teams, use MCP for integration, and own end-to-end AI projects in a fast-growing startup with high autonomy and impact.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python development for LLM-based applications.

• Cloud deployment and scaling of AI workloads (AWS/Azure).

AI Engineer — Stealth-Mode Hardware/AI Startup

Our client is a fast-scaling technology company building next-generation AI-powered hardware devices for the security and public safety sector. Backed by strong early traction and a lean, high-performing team, they're looking for an AI Engineer to help shape the intelligence layer behind their product line.

About the Role

You’ll join a small, senior engineering team building AI capabilities that sit directly on top of connected hardware devices — from data pipelines and model integration through to deployment in real-world, mission-critical environments. This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and wants outsized ownership.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered features and agentic workflows into production
• Work with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and related tooling to connect AI systems to internal and external data sources
• Build and maintain scalable AI/ML infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure
• Collaborate closely with hardware and firmware teams to bring AI capabilities to edge/connected devices
• Own projects end-to-end in a fast-moving startup environment — from prototype to production

What You’ll Bring

• Strong Python skills, with hands-on experience building LLM-based applications
• Practical experience with MCP or comparable agent/tool-orchestration frameworks
• Solid cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure) — deployment, infrastructure, and scaling AI workloads
• Startup experience, ideally in an early-stage or high-growth environment with high autonomy
• Exposure to hardware-integrated products (IoT, edge devices, embedded systems, or similar) is a strong plus
• Comfort working across ambiguity, with a bias toward shipping
