Job description

London | 3 days per week | Predominantly office-based | Outside IR35 preferred

A growing, high-performing strategy consultancy is looking for an AI Enablement Lead to turn internal AI ambition into practical, high-quality change.

This is a new, high-impact role within a collaborative consultancy environment. You’ll work across the business to identify the best opportunities for AI, improve ways of working, and help teams adopt tools responsibly without compromising the quality clients expect.

The opportunity

You’ll join a specialist consulting firm with a strong reputation, a long-tenured team and an office-first culture. AI interest and experimentation already exist, but the business now needs someone dedicated to prioritise opportunities, build momentum and embed sustainable ways of working.

Initial focus will be on the consulting team, where short project cycles and high workloads make practical enablement especially valuable. Over time, the role will also support central functions including People, Finance and Marketing.

What you’ll do
  • Assess current workflows, AI usage and high-value opportunities.
  • Build and deliver a practical AI enablement roadmap.
  • Identify where to adopt existing tools versus build tailored solutions.
  • Lead AI implementation and adoption across consulting and business functions.
  • Improve knowledge management and support related technical projects.
  • Work with leadership and teams to test, refine and embed new workflows.
  • Create clear guidance, training and governance around responsible AI use.
  • Manage specialist contractors or delivery partners where needed.
  • Translate technical opportunities into clear, credible business cases.
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in AI enablement, automation, transformation, product, operations or digital change.
  • Strong understanding of practical AI tools and how to introduce them in real organisations.
  • A credible, self-directed operator who can work independently and bring people with them.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including with senior leadership.
  • Strong judgement around quality, risk, governance and data sensitivity.
  • A pragmatic approach to change: persuasive rather than forceful.
  • Experience in consulting, professional services or another client-service environment is beneficial.
Why this role?

This is an opportunity to shape a role from the ground up and make a visible difference in a business that is excited by AI but serious about standards. The right person will have the space to lead meaningful change, work closely with senior stakeholders, and build capability that lasts.
