Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an Associate or VP in the Quantitative Trading & Research (QTR) team to tackle technically complex problems, optimize revenue and manage risk. You will develop AI/ML analytics, handle large transaction datasets, and leverage cloud capabilities to deploy scalable solutions.

You will partner with business leads to identify pain points, prototype, and deliver production-ready models and tools that improve decision-making and earnings.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in a quantitative field such as Physics, Mathematics, CS or Engineering.
• Strong grounding in Machine Learning, Statistics and Mathematics and their practical application.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data science projects using Python and producing production-ready solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present complex results to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning, knowledge sharing, collaboration and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Work with business leads to develop AI/ML-driven analytics and automation that support business goals.
• Build scalable data architecture to handle large volumes of transaction data.
• Automate manual processes and build tools to improve decision making and deposit management.
• Develop sequential decision-making tools to optimize net interest income under liquidity, capital and balance sheet constraints.
• Drive projects end-to-end from brainstorming and prototyping to data processing, analysis and model development.
• Present real-world, commercial recommendations to stakeholders to inform decisions.
• Leverage data visualization to communicate quantitative insights for business decisions.
