Job summary

Trainline is looking for a Market Research Lead to drive quantitative research across UK and international markets. You will lead surveys, analyze data and deliver insights to Brand, Marketing, Data Science and UX Research teams.

You will test AI-led approaches to improve quality and efficiency while maintaining rigorous standards. You will manage suppliers, align with senior brand leaders, and ensure research translates into actionable business decisions across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Hands-on market research experience across agencies or client-side roles.
• Interest or experience with AI-led research methods.
• Ability to design surveys, analyze data and present findings clearly.
• Ability to combine qualitative and quantitative sources into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent project management and ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative market research projects from brief to delivery, including surveys and analysis.
• Own reporting outputs like Brand Tracker; keep stakeholders informed with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Data Science, UX Research and Marketing Effectiveness teams.
• Explore AI-led approaches to improve research quality and efficiency.
• Guide cross-functional teams to ensure research informs brand and marketing strategies.
• Manage third‑party suppliers from briefing to delivery and budget oversight.
• Identify opportunities where research answers business questions and informs decisions.
• Help non-research colleagues with self-serve processes and data access.
