Job summary

Carta is seeking a Billing & Revenue Accountant in London to own end-to-end billing and support revenue recognition. You will work with the Revenue team and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate invoicing, data integrity, and timely month-end close.

The role requires a complex billing background, strong attention to detail, and proactive communication. AI-curiosity and experience with NetSuite/YayPay are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant billing experience in demanding environments.
• Detail-oriented with thorough self-review habits.
• Proactive communicator who surfaces issues with solutions.
• Interest in AI to improve finance workflows; experience with AI tools is a plus.
• Fluent with revenue recognition principles and month-end close.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and YayPay is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end billing accuracy using data from multiple sources and generate client invoices in NetSuite.
• Identify missing or inconsistent billing data and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Manage outstanding balances and follow up to protect client relationships.
• Serve as the billing point of contact for clients and respond to queries.
• Post and reconcile accrued revenue entries to support accurate month-end close.
• Identify friction points and implement AI-driven improvements to scale processes.
