Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development or AI engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience developing AI-powered applications or LLM projects.
• Understanding of AI agents, tool calls and execution loops.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) into apps.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or similar.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity in emerging AI tech.
• Good communication to work with non-technical stakeholders.

Job description

We are looking for an AI Application Engineer to develop and implement AI-powered applications, agents and automation solutions that improve business workflows and productivity.

Working closely with business stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to apply AI to existing processes, build practical solutions using external LLMs such as ChatGPT and Claude, and help drive the adoption of AI tools across the organisation.

This is a hands-on development role suited to someone with experience delivering AI projects who enjoys experimenting with emerging technologies and turning ideas into practical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI agents and LLM-powered applications for internal business use.
• Build agent execution logic, including tool/function calling, iterative processing and integrations with external systems.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand existing workflows, identify inefficiencies and translate requirements into AI-driven solutions.
• Design and implement workflow automations to improve productivity and streamline day-to-day operations.
• Integrate external LLMs and AI tools, including OpenAI/ChatGPT and Anthropic/Claude, into internal applications.
• Test, evaluate and improve AI solutions to ensure they are reliable, practical and fit for business use.
• Share knowledge of AI tools, emerging capabilities and best practices across the organisation.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant software development, AI engineering or application development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing AI-powered applications or delivering practical LLM-based projects.
• Understanding of AI agents, tool/function calling and agent execution loops.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs, such as OpenAI or Anthropic, into applications.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or another relevant programming language.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity and a genuine interest in emerging AI technologies.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI or similar tools.
• Experience with API integrations, internal tools or business process automation.
• Previous experience in fintech, financial services or a technology-driven environment.
