Job summary

CPL Life Sciences is seeking an experienced AI Adoption Manager to drive the rollout, engagement, and delivery of AI initiatives across a global Pharmaceutical R&D organisation. The role focuses on awareness, adoption, and governance within a hybrid delivery environment.

The ideal candidate will have pharmaceutical or life sciences experience, a background in AI adoption or change management, and strong stakeholder engagement with senior leaders. This is a hybrid role based in Reading.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and adoption of Data Science & AI initiatives across the R&D organisation.
• Coordinate portfolio activities, planning cycles, prioritisation, and dependencies.
• Partner with leadership to ensure transparency and effective decision-making.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and communications for AI adoption.
• Collaborate with project teams, product owners, SMEs, and stakeholders to improve delivery.
• Help develop governance processes and operating frameworks.
• Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions across the business.
• Gather feedback to identify capability gaps and support AI enablement.
• Provide structure and operational excellence in a fast-moving AI environment.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Adoption Manager to support the rollout, engagement, and operational delivery of Data Science & AI initiatives across a global Pharmaceutical R&D organisation. This role will focus on driving awareness, adoption, stakeholder engagement, portfolio coordination, and operational effectiveness across a growing AI and analytics function.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and adoption of Data Science & AI initiatives across the R&D organisation
• Coordinate portfolio activities, planning cycles, prioritisation, and dependency management
• Partner with leadership teams to ensure transparency, alignment, and effective decision-making
• Drive stakeholder engagement and communication strategies to promote AI awareness and adoption
• Work closely with project teams, product owners, SMEs, and business stakeholders to improve collaboration and delivery outcomes
• Help develop and refine operational frameworks, governance processes, and ways of working
• Facilitate workshops, engagement sessions, and communications across the wider business
• Gather feedback from stakeholders to identify capability gaps and support AI learning and enablement initiatives
• Provide structure, continuity, and operational excellence within a fast-moving AI and data environment

Required Experience

• Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry experience
• Proven background in AI adoption, digital transformation, programme operations, portfolio management, PMO, or change management
• Experience supporting Data, Analytics, AI, or Technology-led programmes
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership teams
• Experience working within Agile or Hybrid delivery environments
• Track record of driving organisational adoption, engagement, and communications initiatives
• Excellent planning, coordination, and organisational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
