Job description

This post is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in leading and innovative development of teams and services. You will have the unique prospect of working as part of a dynamic team. A strong support network is available on site and lots of exciting development opportunities. This role is based in York and will manage the Orthopaedic in-patient therapy teams and Rheumatology therapy team, but will need to work cross-site as required across York hospital, Scarborough hospital and Bridlington Hospital as part of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Duties include staff management, recruitment, induction, appraisal, locality training and service development. You will also have responsibility for shift and workload allocation as well as rota planning. Support will be available from operational managers and other team managers as well as clinical advice from advanced clinical specialists in this area and professional leads.
A relevant degree or equivalent with current HCPC registration is essential. The successful candidate will have a broad range of post graduate experience, with at least some in a relevant clinical area and should include working at a senior level, and taking responsibility for other members of staff. Ability to support others in skills development and complex discharge management is essential and understanding of complex care management within the NHS environment is also beneficial.
