Job summary

A health services provider is looking for a Senior Administrator to support Community AHP Services in England.   • Undertake administration/secretarial duties to support the smooth running of the service and coordination of clinical care.
  • Process and provide first‑line triage of referrals following local operational policy.
  • Record and file referrals following clinical triage.
  • Support clinic management and monitoring of clinic capacity, booking patients appropriately.
  • Mentor and deputise for Band 2 staff, undertaking general office duties.
  • Cross‑cover across designated areas of responsibility.
  • Use technology to manage time and support innovation where appropriate.

Job Summary

Senior administrators support Community AHP Services by liaising with clinicians, patients, and other health care services to provide effective administrative assistance and enable clinicians to focus on patient care. The role involves ensuring accurate data for monitoring service utilisation, managing clinic capacity, and facilitating smooth operation of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake administration/secretarial duties to support the smooth running of the service and coordination of clinical care.
  • Process and provide first‑line triage of referrals following local operational policy, ensuring action is taken to support patient care.
  • Record and file referrals following clinical triage.
  • Support clinic management and monitoring of clinic capacity, booking patients appropriately, and escalating as necessary to clinical staff.
  • Mentor and deputise for Band 2 staff, undertaking general office duties such as booking clinics, entering OASIS data, and answering patient/staff phone lines.
  • Cross‑cover across designated areas of responsibility and support other administrative functions as required.
  • Use technology to manage time and support innovation where appropriate.
Work Setting

Multi‑site working across the Black Country Provider Collaborative (Dudley Group NHS FT, Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust, and Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust). Flexibility across the four partner Trusts is expected to meet patient and service needs.
