We are seeking a skilled AGV Application Engineer to support the planning, installation, commissioning, and handover of cutting-edge automation solutions featuring Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality driverless transport system projects, providing technical expertise from design through to live operation.

What You ll Do:
  • Plan, install, commission, and oversee customer sign-off for AGV and AMR automation systems.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams on system design, layout (including warehouse paths and pick/drop points), and project specifications using AutoCAD.
  • Configure and adjust AGV routes and parameters to optimise performance.
  • Conduct thorough testing, validation, and certification of solutions.
  • Provide technical support to aftersales teams, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution in collaboration with partners.
  • Deliver customer training and facilitate controlled AGV demonstrations and proof of concept trials.
  • Monitor KPIs such as error rates, system availability, and throughput, recommending action plans where necessary.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and act as a technical specialist consultant on‑site, remotely, or via digital platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with all required certifications and training.
What We re Looking For:
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience in automation or related industries.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and comfortable with technical documentation.
  • Experience with material handling automation, especially AGVs and pallet conveyors, is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to apply complex technical knowledge to real‑world system commissioning and problem‑solving.
  • Full driving licence required.
