Job summary

Avara Foods is hiring a Talent and Development Officer to build and deliver effective talent pathways across its Agriculture Division. You’ll work with HR, Resourcing and Development teams to create sustainable pipelines for farms, mills, hatcheries and support functions, while promoting Avara as an employer of choice in agriculture.

The role involves travel across Agriculture sites and a Monday–Friday schedule, with potential base at Brackley or Allensmore (Hereford).

Qualifications

• Experience developing talent pipelines and early careers initiatives.
• Experience with apprenticeships and succession planning.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Experience in talent attraction and workforce planning.
• Experience creating employer brand materials and using HR systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Good commercial awareness of labour market trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruitment tech.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agriculture leaders to forecast workforce needs.
• Create engaging job adverts and attraction materials.
• Support hiring activity, offers, onboarding and compliance.
• Build relationships with colleges, universities and industry bodies.
• Represent Avara at agricultural events and careers fairs.
• Support graduate, placement, apprenticeship and internship pathways.
• Align talent pathways with business priorities with managers.
• Share labour market insights to aid planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve attraction and employer branding.
