Job description

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Underwriter to join the Underwriting team at Victor. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working while providing on‑site underwriting support to our brokers across various locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement underwriting strategy across all products, aligned with our risk appetite.
• Directly impact financial KPIs by balancing revenue growth with underwriting profitability.
• Uphold Victor’s service standards on all authorized products, ensuring Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles are embedded in all activities.
• Analyze distribution trends and broker behaviors to inform underwriting decisions.
• Build and maintain strong, in‑person relationships with brokers, fostering trust and collaboration.
• Manage quality assurance and peer reviews to identify opportunities for underwriting and product improvements.
• Stay informed on market trends and developments within your industry segments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with capacity partners.

What You Need to Have

• Solid understanding of the commercial insurance market.
• Proven experience in Agricultural Underwriting with a history of holding underwriting authority.
• Knowledge of relevant products and trade range.
• A track record of successful teamwork and delivering results.
