Agile Development Team Lead

As an Agile Development Team Lead for IPRS Health, you will blend technical oversight, people management and project coordination to guide our software development team in delivering high‑quality solutions that support our physiotherapy & mental health services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers to deliver high‑quality solutions within agreed timelines, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary resources and training.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and oversee the design and implementation of software solutions.
  • Manage multiple development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Facilitate regular stand‑ups, team meetings, code reviews and provide constructive feedback to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent industry experience in Computer Programming/Science, Information Systems or related subjects (E).
  • Demonstrable experience leading software development teams and managing the agile software development lifecycle (E).
  • Ability to produce clear written communications (e.g. training documents, project plans) (E).
  • Practical experience with project management software such as Jira or Azure DevOps (E).
Skills
  • Very good interpersonal skills and the ability to act efficiently in a highly demand‑led environment (E).
  • Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to promote and provide solutions to business‑related problems (E).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non‑technical stakeholders (E).

Salary & Position details
  • Salary £50,000 per annum.
  • Permanent position working Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • Hybrid role: 2–3 days per week from our office in Suffolk (IP6 0FU).
