Job description

We are seeking an Agile Delivery Lead to join our internal development team. This role plays a pivotal part in designing and implementing innovative technology solutions that meet our business needs. This role involves facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile practices, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement within the development team.

Working alongside the development manager you will be working on greenfield projects and enhancing existing applications, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and reviews within the development team
  • Manage multiple Azure DevOps boards for different teams and projects
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices and principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements.
  • Work closely with development team members and the Group Projects Team, ensuring project backlogs are well-defined, prioritised, and understood by team members and stakeholders.
  • Regularly report on sprint progress to key stakeholders, explaining blockers in technical and non-technical terms and highlighting key delivery risks
  • Foster a collaborative and open communication environment within the team and with stakeholders, including internal end users and suppliers
  • Provide training and coaching on Agile principles and practices to team members and stakeholders, fostering an Agile mindset throughout the organisation
What We're Looking For
  • A deep understanding of Agile methodologies and a commitment to driving Agile best practices within the organisation

  • A good understanding of development tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Trello
  • Proficient in facilitating Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with backlog management and prioritisation techniques
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and removing blockers to ensure team productivity
  • Experience with coaching teams and individuals to embrace Agile principles
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
