Job description

BMW Group Financial Services UK is looking for an Agile Delivery and Operations Manager. This role is based at the Summit ONE Campus in Farnborough.

This exciting role is responsible for the leadership of complex, large-scale changes to enable the business to deliver its strategy and targets. You will have responsibility for the assigned product portfolio including supervision of a diverse IT team, service providers and vendors, working with multi-departmental stakeholders within IT and the business (market and central) to ensure change is successfully delivered, as well as ensuring operational stability.

What awaits you?
  • Defining vision and roadmap with the business that motivates and directs IT resources to deliver the RCM project portfolio and maintaining operational performance in line with Service Level Agreements.
  • Leading and coaching the agile team and provide the framework for the team to self-organize and take decisions to deliver.
  • Communication at all levels through to senior managers and directors, the ability to absorb and assimilate information from the business to define and deliver the project portfolio, enhancements and fixes.
  • Maintain a broad network of business and IT stakeholders including senior managers and directors, as well as technical resources and external suppliers.
  • Oversee operational delivery including communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure operational performance of mission critical systems.
  • Ensure consistent and efficient processes, tools and standards deployed for agile delivery, operating within the BMW Group Agile Working Model framework.
  • Assimilate and prioritise information from a variety of sources, and develop a coherent strategy and work pipeline for meeting business needs in conjunction with the IT management team and overall IT department.
  • Ensure stable operations of systems within the designated product set and ensure the timely resolution of incidents.
  • Lead the Development Community of Practice to encourage knowledge sharing and adoption of consistent standards and best practices.
What should you bring along?
  • Degree or equivalent
  • DemonstrativeIT industry experience in leading large-scale change and operational excellence in mission-critical systems.
  • Demonstrative experience in leading application development teams with experience in agile and DevOps frameworks.
  • Experience within Financial Services industry.
  • Proven ability to engage with a variety of IT teams and suppliers to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Proven ability to deliver within a complex systems landscape and diverse range of technology platforms.
  • Ability to embrace and adapt to change.
  • In-depth and formal training in project management, leadership, agile and DevOps.
  • Portfolio, MSP, agile and DevOps qualifications is desirable.
