Job summary

A leading facilities management company in the UK is seeking a qualified Cook to prepare, cook, and serve meals to the highest standards. The role involves ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards and national nutritional policies, as well as contributing to service developments such as new menus. Candidates must possess a City and Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification and an Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate. An enhanced DBS check will be conducted for the successful candidate.

Job description
  • The preparation, cooking, presentation and service of meals to the highest possible standards.
  • Provide food that complies with national nutritional policies and food hygiene standards.
  • Ensure timely plating and delivery to patient areas.
  • Contributes to the implementation of service developments i.e. new menus, production systems.
  • Submit requisitions for additional foods stores depending upon demand.
    Must have Right to Work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
  • Qualified Cook to City and Guilds or NVQ level 3 standard and Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Knowledge and experience across a broad range of cooking methods, recipe formulation and service requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HACCP & COSHH acquired over time with training.
  • Intimate knowledge of Fire Safety as applied in the kitchen setting.
  • Allergen qualification/training.
