Job Overview

This lovely family based in Runfold, Surrey, is seeking an After‑school Nanny to care for their baby and school‑aged child. The role involves all general nanny duties, and a driver with their own car is required. They are looking for a warm, experienced, and caring nanny to work two days per week, with one longer day that includes child‑related housekeeping and some light cooking for the family. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised, and confident in caring for toddlers and preschool‑aged children. A valid first‑aid qualification is required for this position.

Working Hours

2 to 3 days a week, ideally Monday and Wednesdays:

  • 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • or 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Duties
  • Providing high‑quality care for infants and school‑aged children, including nappy changes, bottle preparation, and bathing.
  • Ensuring the safety, well‑being, and development of the children.
  • Supporting morning and afternoon routines, including school drop‑offs/pick‑ups and after‑school activities.
  • Engaging children in age‑appropriate play, educational activities, arts and crafts, and outdoor outings such as park visits.
  • Encouraging early literacy by reading books and providing homework assistance.
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks, including batch cooking when needed.
  • Maintaining children’s bedrooms, play areas, and laundry.
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children’s structure and development.
  • Light housekeeping duties related to the children.
  • Additional hours available during half terms and school holidays.
Requirements
  • Warm, experienced, and caring nanny willing to work two days per week.
  • Reliable driver with own car, able to transport children to and from school and activities.
  • Valid first‑aid qualification.
  • Comfortable with caring for infants and preschool‑aged children.
Additional Information

Hiring is expected to begin on 5th January 2025.
