A childcare service is seeking an after school nanny in Yelverton to provide care for a 6-year-old boy with a rare genetic condition. The role involves assisting with feeding and helping him enjoy outdoor activities. Ideal candidates are patient and willing to learn, and no driving is necessary as transport is provided for the child. The position is to start ASAP.
An after school nanny is needed to care for a little boy aged 6y who has a rare genetic condition. The working pattern is Tuesday's Wednesdays and Thursdays, 3.15pm to 6.15pm.
The little boy has severe learning difficulties, however, the family are happy to have a candidate with no additional needs experience - it is more important that they find a nanny who is patient, willing to learn, understanding. and is open minded.
The nanny will not need to drive within the role - the little boy has school taxi transport, but the nanny needs to be able to get to a rural location of near Yelverton.
As well as providing 1:1 care to him, the nanny will be expected to help with feeding and taking him out for walks or to the local park.
The family have a cat.
