Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an After School Club Assistant for an inclusive primary school in Croydon, South London. The role focuses on supervising and supporting children after school, creating a safe, engaging environment at 3:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with children, strong communication skills, and a safeguarding mindset. This position is term-time only and pays £50–£55 per day, depending on experience, with DBS and right to work

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a primary school.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Understanding of inclusive practice in a diverse school environment.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training is desirable.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support and supervise children during after-school club activities.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment for children of all ages.
• Work with school staff to ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Maintain calm, positive behavior management and clear communication with pupils and parents.
