Job summary

St Joseph’s School in Christchurch is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Childcare Worker to join the Starlight After School Club. The role is part-time term-time only, 14 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 3pm–6pm and Friday 3pm–5pm, with hourly rates of £13.48–£13.70 and a paid annual salary range of £8,337–£8,469 (April 2026 pay award).

• Positive and enthusiastic individual to work with our after-school club.
• Commitment to high-quality childcare and inclusive practice.
• Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks and DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment for attendees.
• Assist the Senior Childcare Worker and support staff in daily activities.
• Occasional hours to support Breakfast Club before school may be available.
