Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a committed leader to run the out-of-school care provision at Sandhills Community Primary School in Packmoor. You will oversee daily operations, safety and play, directing a small team of staff and volunteers.

With a safeguarding focus and experience in childcare, you will plan activities, manage records and budgets, and build strong links with parents, school staff and local agencies.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EYFS qualification
• Experience supervising staff or volunteers
• Background as an organised childcare or playwork professional
• Knowledge of childcare standards and safeguarding procedures

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day organisation, safety and play activities outside normal school hours
• Lead and direct a dedicated team of staff
• Deploy staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operation
• Plan activities and adapt spaces to support social development
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment at all times
• Apply child protection and safeguarding procedures
• Keep records and manage resources within budget
• Build collaborative relationships with parents, carers, school staff and local agencies
