The Perse School Cambridge is seeking an After School 'Owls' Assistant to care for and supervise children aged 3 to 7 in Owls Club, from 3:15pm to 5:30pm, five afternoons a week during term time in Cambridge.

The role involves building relationships with children, staff and parents, and supporting a safe, engaging environment. Some experience with young children is important; relevant school experience is desirable but not essential.

  • To act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with children, staff and parents.
  • To work at Club Pelican (holiday club) for an agreed period (for which the dates will be published well in advance).

After School 'Owls' Assistant

Salary: £6,660 per annum

The Perse Pelican School is looking for an assistant to work in our after school provision, Owls Club, which provides a safe, enjoyable and stimulating environment for children aged from 3 to 7. This essential role is there to care for and supervise the children following the end of the day’s lessons until they are collected by their parents/carers. The ideal candidate will be able to develop excellent relationships with the children, staff and parents and work as part of the wider after school team. Relevant experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential; however some experience with young children is important.

Closing date: Monday 12th October at midday but applications will be considered as they are received; The Perse School reserves the right to make an appointment before the closing date.
