Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an experienced AFCS Consultant for a hybrid London-based 12‑month initial contract. The role focuses on Oracle AFCS within a major finance transformation program in a BFSI environment, handling data mapping, design documentation, and production migration.

You will work independently on complex AFCS tasks, collaborate with upstream and downstream systems, define security and runbooks, and train business users.

AFCS Consultant - Hybrid in London - 12 Month Initial Contract - Inside IR35

An experienced Oracle AFCS (Accounting Financial Close and Subledger) Consultant. The role supports a major Finance transformation programme built on Oracle ERP within a BFSI environment. The successful candidate will work independently on complex AFCS tasks, from data mapping and solution design through to testing and production migration.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse files, data structures, and definitions, mapping them to the AFCS outbox data model and identifying gaps.
• Prepare design documentation for identified gaps, along with the end‑to‑end functional solution mapping document.
• Work with upstream and downstream systems to map data models across the wider architecture.
• Define security, roles, and responsibilities within AFCS, and prepare runbooks and user manuals and train business users.
• Support UAT and SIT, migrate the solution into production, and coordinate with the offshore development team to track build progress.
